Realizing the Dream
With an overall project value of $6.5 million for the
construction of the new Rotary Home and seventy percent
of the funding required committed, the remaining $2 million
will depend on the support, generosity and kindness of the
people of Ottawa, Eastern Ontario and caring individuals
and companies from across Canada.
Funding - Community Support
In support of an agency providing vital support to a group
of high-need individuals, their families and care-givers in
our community, Ottawa Rotarians have worked hard to
secure fi nancial commitments from the relevant Ministries
of the provincial government. Now we turn to our friends and
supporters in Eastern Ontario for the remainder of the fi nancial
support needed to help realize the dream and complete the
new building.
To reach the balance of $2,000,000 required to make the dream
a reality, we recognize that we will need many different levels of
gifts – from major gifts to smaller contributions.
Funding for Operations
The Ontario Ministry of Child and Youth Services and the
Ministry of Community and Social Services fund the majority
of the annual operating costs of The Ottawa Rotary Home.
This funding will be transferred to the new Home. Following the
Home’s current practice, families who use the new facility will
be asked to contribute a nominal daily fee.
